Brazilian born but living over 20 years in Japan, JP has raced a variety of car classes including Super GT, Formula Nippon, and World Touring Car Cup. The need to be fit for the races is essential, and JP`s passion and dedication for daily cycling keeps him fit for both car and bicycle races.

Living in central Tokyo, early morning starts are essential to beat the traffic and get out of town. A 5am start saw JP west towards Mt. Fuji, around 100km, including some of the climbs used in the 2021 Tokyo Olympic road race. An early start also helps beat the heat, as it easily gets to a hot and humid 35c in the summer months.
